Raw Foods For Energy
Aug 21st, 2010
I asked my girlfriend why she keeps taking vitamins and minerals when she is getting all the nutrients that she needs from her normal diet. She was quick to correct me on this and pointed out that in an ideal world things work this way, but often foods don’t contain the nutrient levels we assume they do. At first I thought she was completely wrong, but after doing some research I found that the main culprit for losing these nutrients was the way in which we cook food. After doing some more digging I found out about this guy called Yuri Elkaim who wrote a book called Eating For Energy which addresses this problem. He basically gives a bunch of recipes and foods we should be eating for optimum nutrition and energy levels which also happen to help you lose weight. My girlfriend was very interested in this and you never know, she may even ditch those expensive supplements once she changes her diet over to his recommendations.
