Stay Healthy with Colon Cleansing
Sep 23rd, 2008
Colon cleansing can help eliminate the symptoms that make your life uncomfortable and keep you from developing other, more serious problems. A colon cleanse followed by a colon-friendly diet will get you and your colon on the way to better health.
So what is a colon-friendly diet? A colon-friendly diet is one that helps your colon cleanse itself. It’s a diet that allows your colon to maintain itself by passing healthy waste regularly. It should include fiber and probiotics. Fiber can be added to your diet with fibrous fruits and veggies, beans, and food supplements like flaxseed that you can add to smoothies and such. Your colon-friendly diet should eliminate refined sugar, red meat, animal fat, and heavily processed foods including most fast foods and many restaurant meals. Your diet should also eliminate dairy products with the exception of yogurt. Yogurt actually has living, good-for-your-colon bacteria in it.
Symptoms that an unhealthy colon can cause include:
• Diarrhea
• Constipation
• Irregular bowel movements
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
• Bloating
• Gas
• Flatulence
• Difficulty or inability to lose weight
• A “spaced-out†feeling or lack of focus
• Joint pain and stiffness
• Hemorrhoids due to excess strain in passing hard stools
• Blemishes and acne
• Psoriasis
• Halitosis (Yes, chronic bad breath can be a symptom of an unhealthy colon!)
