Most people look at wellness issues in a piecemeal manner.
I have always been a fan, however, of taking a more holistic look at health. As a dietitian and exercise fanatic, I know a lot about preventative care for health issues.
Basically, it means always keeping your health as the top thing in your life. That is something that not everyone is willing to do.
When I have a friend I am trying to introduce to my approach to health promotion, I usually advise him or her to try it for a month.
A lot of people are unwilling to commit to a lifetime of good habits, but almost anyone is willing to try something for a month.
