I asked my girlfriend why she keeps taking vitamins and minerals when she is getting all the nutrients that she needs from her normal diet. Losing The Love Handles

When I was in my 20’s I always found it easy to lose weight by cutting back on the carb heavy food and doing a bit more aerobic exercise. Over time though, I’m not sure if it’s metabolism or my tendency to eat larger meals, but I had stubborn love handles I just couldn’t shift. At first I thought the solution would be as simple as just stepping up my aerobic routine but after reading through the diet solution reviews it soon became clear that in order to burn body fat as efficiently as possible I was going to have to follow a proven guide and get the diet side of things right as well. Over the past several years it’s become apparent to me that I have to change the way I eat. My best friend, at age twenty eight, died of a heart attack.   • Stress can hamper your weight loss efforts due to the hormonal effects it has on the body. If you are experiencing chronic stress, consider using stress management techniques (like exercise, yoga etc) to help you relax.
  • Reduce of eliminate alcohol. Alcohol consumption causes increased insulin production by the pancreas which in turn leads to more cravings and also encourages fat storage.

Cookie Diet

Latest weight loss/diet news is the COOKIE DIET. Yeah, you read that right. Let’s see, eat 6 cookies a day plus one real meal and you’ll lose weight. I suppose you will, if you stick to it religiously. This is just another in a long line of fad diets that use substitution and restriction instead of a balanced diet of REAL food. As a matter of fact, I just thought of a new one: The Pizza Diet. Eat one small pizza a day plus two apples and you’ll lose weight.

Seriously, folks, these diets are just gimmicks. You may lose weight if you follow these plans to a tee but are any of them healthy? You didn’t become overweight overnight. You became overweight because you ate too much junk and didn’t stay active. Simple. You probably ate a lot of COOKIES along with potato chips, fast food, etc. Don’t fall for this nonsense.

The simple fact is that if you are overweight you need a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains(carbs), lean protein and healthy fats COMBINED with some sort of physical activity. Just shuffling junk food around and counting calories is not enough.

The Right Diet Plan

The first thing a person needs to do is to choose a diet program designed by a dietitian or another health professional. The patient has to be evaluated before any program can be made. The program usually consists of an eating plan and an exercise program that does not require the use of supplements or one to purchase any expensive fitness equipment.
