Diet Solutions for Acne
Posted in Acne, Health, Skin Care, Treatments on Feb 25th, 2010
Most of us crave to appear our best. The emergence of acne can be mentally and physically upsetting, but there are solutions. An entire business of scientific research, and pharmaceuticals continues to multiply in response to the requirements of acne sufferers.
One answer is defensive. Pharmacy shelves are chock-full of skin toners and cleansers specially manufactured to help avoid acne. They cleanse the skin and help minimize sebum or oil which plugs up the pores. When the pores become block with this oil, bacteria multiplies. These skin care products are created to avoid this from occurring.
Next there are exfoliation products created to do away with dead skin cells and other atmospheric impurities, dropping the chance of bacterial increase. There are several non-prescription products containing benzol peroxide and salicylic acid, both of which are the enemies of bacteria and pimple. Creams containing alpha hydroxy acid may work better, depending upon nature of skin.
Many years ago, none of those products worked for me, so I went to a skin specialist. He prescribed a a variety of anti-biotics and topical solutions. He surgically relieve some of the cysts. I remained under his care for about five years. I finally inquired if my food choices had anything to do with my stubborn condition. He confessed that if I “discovered” that a certain food caused more skin problems, then I should “discontinue eating it.”
So, five years later, and several thousand dollars spent on treatment, I struck out on my own. I studied natural diets, cleansing, and colonics. I found my answers and was able to reverse my condition. The cause was my own diet, which had been high in sugars and starches, and junk food. I could consume an entire bag of white powder doughnuts in one day, a pack of cookies a day later, add to that, a gallon and a half of milk. This is only a small sample of my terrible diet, but you get the picture.
In hindsight, I made my own destiny. I was responsible for the conditions which lead to a terrible condition of acne. I reveal more of my knowledge on Acne Treatment Review in hopes of assisting others to stay away from the errors I made. Learn how to change your for the better with Natural Acne Skin Care.
